Customs Union commission sets 2011 meat import quotas

 

 

A commission of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan has set Thursday (Dec 16) meat imports quotas for next year.

 

Specifically, import quotas for Russia were set at 350,000 tonnes of poultry meat, 530,000 tonnes of frozen cattle, 30,000 tonnes of fresh and chilled meat, 472,100 tonnes of fresh, chilled or frozen pork, and 27,900 of pork trimmings.

 

For Belarus, quotas were set at 15,000 tonnes of poultry meat and edible offal, 2,500 tonnes of frozen cattle, 2,500 tonnes of fresh or chilled cattle, and 60,000 tonnes of pork and pork trimmings.

 

Quotas for Kazakhstan were set at 110,000 tonnes of poultry meat and edible offal, 10,000 tonnes of frozen cattle, 20 tonnes on fresh and chilled cattle, and 7,400 tonnes of pork and pork trimmings.
