Further investment marks Western Brand Poultry's strategy

Western Brand Poultry will invest GBP4.4 million (US$7.1 million) to expand production in County Fermanagh, Ireland.

About 60 new jobs will be created over the next three years when production is being expanded at the company's Lisnaskea site. Invest Northern Ireland has offered GBP405,000 (US$656,776) of support.

This investment will accelerate further export growth, said Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster.

Western Brand Group managing director Eugene Lannon said they have chosen this site because the original investment there was a success which exceeded initial projections.

The company will install an additional production line and other machinery to boost new product development capability. The investment will also see a substantial increase in marketing activities designed to expand business, particularly in Great Britain, Lannon said, adding that the company has identified significant growth opportunities from existing and potential customers.

Western Brand Poultry is a leading supplier of poultry and egg products in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
