Ukraine's December grain supply reduced by 14%

Ukraine's grain stocks totalled 18 million tonnes as of December 1, 14% lower than December 2009, the State Statistics Committee said Wednesday (Dec 15).

The committee said stocks of large and medium-sized agriculture companies included 7.4 million tonnes of wheat, 2.2 million tonnes of barley and 6.9 million tonnes of corn.

Ukraine's farm ministry has said the grain crop of 2010 is likely to fall to around 39 million tonnes from 46 million in 2009 due to poor weather.
