Ukraine allows Brazilian poultry imports

Ukraine has lifted the import ban on Brazilian poultry products and raw materials, reported the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service.

Importation is allowed beginning December 14 this year.

According to the International Office of Epizootics, Brazil is already free from Newcastle disease – because of which many countries banned the import of poultry from that country.

Ukraine banned poultry imports from Brazil in August 2000 and extended the ban several times because of the registration of Newcastle disease cases in that country.
