Ukraine prohibits China poultry imports

Ukraine's Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service has banned poultry imports, including finished products and raw materials, from a number of regions in China.

The decision was made due to the fact that, according to the official report of the International Office of Epizootics starting 2010, Newcastle disease cases are registered in China.

In particular, it is prohibited to import poultry products from the Chinese provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Zhejiang, as well as Guangxi Zhuang, Xinjiang Uygur and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions, and Tianjin.
