Corn farmers has asked the government to provide them with genetically modified seeds for quick turnaround planting to rehabilitate corn farms. Typhoon Pablo (international name Bopha) ravaged 30,000 hectares of corn farms in Mindanao and destroyed 210,000 tonnes of corn worth PHP3.4 billion.
