Novus to consolidate ethoxyquin products

Novus International, Inc., announced that the QUINGUARD® feed preservative line of antioxidants will be consolidated under the global SANTOQUIN® feed preservative brand family.

For the last 30 plus years the SANOTQUIN brand has provided consistent quality, safe and reliable antioxidant solutions for the preservation of fish meal, protein meal, animal fat and fish oil, according to Wendell Knehans, Director of Feed Quality.

It is expected that Novus will continue to develop and market a broad line-up of top performing synthetic antioxidant solutions under the SANTOQUIN brand. Knehans said the brand needs "to meet the antioxidant needs of ruminant, swine, poultry, and pet feed formulators while at the same time expanding our development of natural and dietary solutions."

SANTOQUIN may be added directly to vitamin premixes, fats and meals at the point of manufacture and/or in the mixer during processing. Available in bulk, drums, and pails in liquid form and in bags in dry form, SANTOQUIN may be tailored to fit nearly any operation's specific application and quality control guidelines. 

Novus expects the SANTOQUIN transition to be completed in the first quarter of 2008. Sales and customer service will work closely with QUINGUARD customers to manage a seamless transition to SANTOQUIN.
