Saudi Arabia lifts chicken export ban
While Saudi Arabia has ceased a chicken export ban, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry requires exporters to return product subsidies.
"If poultry farms want to export their products, they have to abide by the rules for exporting subsidised goods," the ministry said.
The ministry had earlier slapped a ban on chicken exports because of rising prices of the product in local markets.
The ministry emphasised its policy of meeting local demand for all goods and ensuring supply of products at reasonable prices.
