Belgium's Salins Group develops new additive for ruminants

Belgian premix maker Salins Group has developed a new mineral additive to improve ruminant growth performance. The mineral block contains a mix of plant extracts, supplied by the company Phytosynthese.

The feed additive is particularly suitable for growing bovines and optimizes muscular development as well as helping nutrient assimilation. The plant extracts in the block have a positive impact on ruminant metabolism through appetite stimulation and the continuous support of rumen and liver activity.

For dairy heifers, the mineral block contributes to increasing calving weight, a factor for milk performance. As for young bovines, the block combines performance and profitability by optimizing the feed ration. It directly contributes to reducing the fattening time and to the homogenization of animal growth performance.
