Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes of corn in tender

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group, or MFIG, bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Tuesday (Dec 12), a trader in Taipei said.

Cargill will supply 48,155 tonnes at a premium of 155.70 US cents/bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade March contract.

It will supply the remaining 11,845 tonnes at a flat price of US$207.15 a metric tonne.

The shipment is expected to reach Taiwan Jan 11-25.
