Market analysis

Lysine prices continued to decline, albeit at a slower rate compared with the previous week. As overall supplies are seen to increase with a few producers'new facilities ready for operation, lysine suppliers negotiated prices further in a bid to clinch deals.

In Europe, quotes for 2012 Q1 orders stayed at EUR1.96-1.98/kg, while spot prices stood firm at EUR2.20-2.40/kg.

Market forecast

Lysine market in China is expected to stay soft amid weak buying interest and strong competition.
