Glenrath Farms to build UK's largest egg farm

Plans of Glenrath Farms to build the largest egg farm in UK have just been approved by the councilors.

Glenrath Farms Ltd. will build nine free-range poultry houses in Blythbank near West Linton, Scotland. Each of the nine houses will have the capacity for 25,000 hens.

The project was approved by the Scottish Borders Council's planning committee. It will now be referred to the Scottish Government for the final decision, with environmental concerns taken into consideration.
