Suppliers' quotes

 

U.S. whey prices declined RMB9 to settle at RMB410/tonne. Transacted volume of whey fell 22.7 percent over the week to 7.39 million tonnes.

 
 

Market analysis
 

In China, whey prices remained unchanged amid cautious trade. However, in the northern ports, prices diverged as some traders reduced prices in an effort to clear stocks.

 

Whey supplies were generally ample but tighter in Guangdong.

 
 

Market forecast

 

In the near term, whey prices are likely to stay weak.
