Egypt GASC tenders to buy 55,000-60,000 tonnes wheat

Egypt's state-owned General Authority For Supply Commodities said Friday (Dec 8) it is tendering to buy at least 55,000-60,000 tonnes of wheat for shipment Jan 5-20, on a free-on-board basis.

GASC is looking to purchase 55,000-60,000 tonnes of US hard red winter wheat, US soft red wheat, US soft white wheat, Australian soft white wheat, Australian hard wheat, French milling wheat, Canadian soft wheat or Argentine wheat, and 25,000-60,000 tonnes of Russian, German, UK, or Syrian wheat, Nomani Nomani, undersecretary and vice chairman of GASC, told Dow Jones Newswires.

The deadline for bids is 1200 GMT Saturday.
