Kazakhstan's 2009 grain harvest up 28 percent on-year at 20 million tonnes
Kazakhstan has harvested 20 million tonnes of grain in clean weight this year, 28% more than in 2008, the State Statistics Committee said Wednesday (December 9).
Grain for this year's harvest was planted on 21.9 million hectares, which is 1.9 million hectares more than last year, with wheat planted on 14.7 million hectares.
