China maintains estimates on 2009 crops output unchanged
The China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC) Wednesday (Dec 9) kept its estimates on China's 2009 output of corn, wheat, soy and rapeseed unchanged from the previous forecast in November.
The CNGOIC updates its estimates once every month.
According to the CNGOIC, China would produce 163 million tonnes of corn, 114.95 million tonnes of wheat, 14.5 million tonnes of soy and 13.5 million tonnes of rapeseed this year.
The following table shows the December forecast of CNGOIC on the 2009 output of corn, wheat, soy and rapeseed compared with the figures for last year.
