Analysts expect prices of vitamin C products in China to remain dismal in the near to medium term as the period from December to March is traditionally a lull season for vitamin C demand in China.

II    Exports of China's Vitamin C Raw Materials

Export prices of China's locally produced vitamin C raw materials stay largely unchanged from last week.

As at December 10, offer prices of China's produced vitamin C raw materials for exports to European and American markets remain at the level of US$4.80/kg. Offer prices for exports to Southeast Asian and African countries are currently hovering at US$5.00/kg.

With uncertainty in export markets in the coming year, Chinese producers have stopped issuing offer prices for delivery in February 2005.
