Methionine market stays firm in China
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending December 8.
Even though demand from the poultry sector was curtailed by the spreading of H7N9 bird flu, methionine distributors in several regions confidently lifted prices with supplies tight.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were higher in the range of RMB28-28.80/kg.
Slack demands will likely limit the upward scope of methionine market in the coming period.
