Heilongjiang's Heihe Zhongxing builds dairy farm and processing base

 
Heihe Zhongxing Animal Husbandry Co Ltd started constructing a dairy farm and a dairy processing base in Heilongjiang's Heihe city. The company targets an inventory of 4,000 cattle by 2012 and 60,000 by 2015. It will import dairy cattle and advanced farming technology from New Zealand.

North China's largest feed base opens in Tianjin

 
Da Bei Nong Group recently completed a RMB76-million Tianjin Science and Technology Park in Baodi, Tianjin. The 100-mu site is capable of producing 180,000 tonnes of aqua and livestock feed yearly, making it the largest feed production base in North China. Annual output values are estimated at RMB400 million upon full capacity, which will take around 2-3 years.

Yisheng Livestock plans RMB250-million broiler base in Jiangsu

 
Shandong Yisheng Livestock & Poultry Breeding Co Ltd recently clinched a deal to build a RMB250-million broiler rearing base in Suining county, Xuzhou city of Jiangsu.

Set to be completed in 18 months, the 257,800-sq-m base will include nine farms each housing 200,000 parent-stock broilers with a combined annual output capacity of 78 million commercial chicks.  Gross profits are estimated at RMB59 million per year once production is in full swing.

Guangxi receives 980 breeder hogs from the US

      
Xiong Gui Animal Husbandry Co Ltd recently imported 980 US breeder hogs of Large White, Landrace, Duroc breeds into Guangxi province. The hogs, each costs RMB20,000, will be transported to the company's headquarter in Tiandong county, Bose city.

China-Singapore canola oil joint venture starts operation in Guangxi

       
A canola oil joint venture invested by Singapore's Viterra Asia Pte Ltd and China's Fangchenggang Maple Edible Oil Co Ltd has commenced operation in Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi province.

The RMB340-million processing plant is expected to produce 600,000 tonnes of canola and 240,000 tonnes of canola oil annually.

Sichuan launches first electronic hog trading platform

   
Sichuan province recently launched its first electronic trading platform for live hog futures. Transaction volume on the first day of trading totalled 3,142 lots valued at RMB5.46 million, while total value of futures contracts concluded on the same day reached RMB600 million.
