India may lower government wheat sale price
India may lower the sale price for wheat to be sold from federal stocks to bulk consumers, K.V. Thomas, the junior agriculture and food minister said Wednesday.
"Discussions are on with the cabinet sub-committee to lower the wheat prices and release additional stocks," he told reporters on the sidelines of a conference.
India had allowed the sale of 500,000 tonnes of wheat to bulk users between October and December.
