Coarse grains dominate Ukraine's November exports
About 63 percent of Ukrainian grain exports during November are made up of coarse grains such as feed wheat and barley.
Ukraine exported a total of 2.36 million tonnes of grains in November, said analyst UkrAgroConsult.
The consultancy said the share of milling wheat totalled 18 percent of the volume or 400,000 tonnes. Last month, Ukraine exported 949,411 tonnes of wheat, 354,287 tonnes of barley and one million tonnes of corn.
Ukraine exported a total of 11.5 million tonnes of grain in the first five months of the 2009-10 season, compared to 10.9 million in the same period of 2008-09.
Ukraine is projected to harvest 48 million tonnes of grain this year compared to a record 53.3 million tonnes in 2008. The agriculture ministry also expects exports to decrease to 20 million tonnes in 2009-10 from 25 million tonnes in 2008-09.
