Ufac-UK appoints new marketing manager

Dr. Donald Lawson from the UK-based Ufac has been promoted to be its UK sales and marketing manager.

Lawson, whose career spans both the academic and commercial fields, joined the Newmarket-based animal feed supplement specialists Ufac (UK) Ltd. in 2008.

He gained a BSc at Aberdeen University and a PhD at the University of Glasgow before taking nutrition-related roles in the research, advisory and sales sectors of the feed industry.

Ufac's managing director Robert Jones says changes in the feed industry, with more emphasis on utilising home-grown products, farm mixing and the growth of TMR (total mixed rations) in the ruminant sector have created opportunities for Ufac.

Ufac is one of the leading specialist UK manufacturers of energy, protein and omega-3 supplements. The company has been supplying nutritional supplements to the animal feed industry for over 35 years.
