Wheat Production in India to Increase 11%

India's wheat production is likely to increase 11.11 per cent reaching a record 80 million ton this year, according to a top government official.

"Going by the current trend, we definitely hope to cross last year's wheat output of 72 million ton to somewhere near 79-80 million ton," said agriculture secretary Radha Singh.
