China's Xiwang Group to Officially Launch Lysine Production in Early 2005
An eFeedLink Exclusive Report
At a new product launch ceremony held on December 8, China's Xiwang Biochemical Ltd Co., a subsidiary of Shandong's Xiwang Group, announced that its first-phase lysine production facilities would officially commence operations in early 2005.
Mr Lou Weihua, General Manager of Xiwang Group, said that the first phase's production facilities would have a capacity to produce 50,000 tons of lysine annually. Its 28,000-ton 65% lysine production line will first start operations in January 2005. By February 2005, the plant's 98.5% lysine production line will also begin operations, capable of yielding up to 22,000 tons of 98.5% lysine per year.
Xiwang Group would be utilizing glucose syrup as a fermenting agent to produce lysine. The glucose syrup used in its lysine production is a by-product of the Group's operations that specializes in the production of crystallized glucose. The company employs advanced production technology which includes the use of complex culture systems, the membrane separation method (to isolate protein contents) and the crystallization method.
Mr Lou said that the quality of Xiwang Group's lysine products would enjoy competitive advantage over those produced by rival companies.
