Kocopia buys up to 110,000 tonnes corn from Cargill
The Korea Corn Processing Industry Association, or Kocopia, bought up to 110,000 tonnes of optional-origin corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Wednesday, a Seoul-based trader said Thursday.
Kocopia would either buy two cargoes of 55,000 tonnes each of US or South American origin corn for US$138.88/tonne, cost and freight included, or two cargoes each of 52,500 tonnes of Chinese corn for US$132.88/tonne.
The first cargo would be shipped to Incheon Mar 30, while the second cargo would be shipped to Ulsan April 5.
