Limited demand due to a slowdown in livestock market triggered intense price competition among calcium phosphate producers, who were also facing slumping raw material costs of sulphur and sulphuric acid and rising electricity expenses.

Calcium phosphate market is expected to remain weak in the short term. Producers are counting on pre-festive restocking demand in the second half of December to stimulate trade.
