Pork and edible oil prices in China at steady climb
Prices of edible oil rose slightly while pork price operated at high levels in the week from November 26 to December 2, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
China's wholesale price of pork has kept rising for the eighth week now. Compared with the previous week, the price of edible oil rose 1.2 percent on November 26 to December 2.
The retail price of soy oil, peanut oil, rapeseed oil and blend oil grew by 1.6 percent, 1.2 percent, 1.1 percent and 1 percent, respectively.
The wholesale price of fresh pork rose by 1.7 percent and fresh beef at 0.9 percent.
