Denmark poultry consumption up by 4 percent

Danish poultry production increased in the first eight months of 2007 by 4 percent on-year.

The consumption of chicken in Denmark increased by around 9 percent, while the sales of Danish poultry slaughterhouses to the Danish market grew by 20 percent during the period.

Figures indicate that poultry produced domestically accounts for 63 percent of total poultry consumption.
