Methionine prices sink to new lows in China
Prices moved lower during the week ended December 4.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine dipped to the range of RMB30-30.50/kg, while transacted prices lowered to RMB28.80-29.20/kg.
Demand for methionine remained slow, compelling suppliers to cut prices amid ample supplies. Hence, methionine prices broke new lows during the period in review.
Slow buying, together with abundant availability, will likely keep methionine prices weak in the coming period.
