South Korea AFMC to Seek 100,000 MT Food Corn in Tender Dec 14

South Korea's state-owned Agricultural and Fishery Marketing Corp. will seek 100,000 metric tons of optional-origin food corn in a buy tender to be held at 0200 GMT Dec. 14, according to an AFMC official on Monday.

AFMC will buy 100,000 tons of non-genetically modified corn for food donation to North Korea. Suppliers can split the cargo into five to six installments for shipping, the official said.

All installments are to be shipped between end of December to end of February to North Korea, the official said.
