Improved demand holds up China calcium phosphate prices

Prices remained stable during the period in review.

More buyers made purchases during the period in review in anticipation of higher demands ahead. However, as H7N9 disease showed no signs of abating, buyers were cautious with the procurement of calcium phosphate.

Transacted prices of calcium phosphate in Sichuan were mainly in the range of RMB1,830-1,950/kg.

Demand for calcium phosphate should remain firm in the coming period as feed millers prepare for the festive demands prior to Chinese New Year.

RMB1=US$0.1641 (Dec 5)
