Brazil's November corn prices up 5 percent from October
Brazil earned US$245.9 million from corn exports in November, with corn priced at an average US$192.90 per tonne, up 5 percent from October's US$183.70/ tonne.
The country's corn exports from January-November has exceeded expectations of 10 million tonnes for the whole of 2007 to reach 10.03 million tonnes, according to the Brazilian Development Ministry Foreign Trade Department (Secex).
The difference would have been greater if November's figure of 1.274 million tonnes were not 30 percent below that of October's 1.813 million tonnes.
Viewed in contrast with last November's figures however, the month's export was more than double the 450,000 tonnes seen in November 2006.
