US soy oil export to India down by 25 percent

 

 

US exports of soy oil to India fell by 25.38 percent this year according to the US Department of Agriculture.

 

However, there was a significant surge on US export of agricultural, fish and forestry products to India at 37.74 percent to US$467.62 million.

 

The USDA data reveals an interesting trend with export of more than ten commodities falling in the range of 20 to 100 percent.

 

US export of wheat flour and coarse grain to India slumped by 100 percent, while that of poultry meat came down 80 percent, vegetable oils (exclusive of soy oil) has slipped by 36.19 per cent and soy oil has dipped by 25.38 per cent.

 

Exports of eggs and products basket jumped by 80 percent jump.
