Denmark meat group wants to stop Brazilian beef imports

The Danish Livestock and Meat Board (KF) is urging the European Commission to stop the import of beef from Brazil following revelations that Brazilian beef producers violate food safety regulations.

The producers among other things fail to meet the traceability requirements and they are also believed to be using growth hormones in production, according to the board.
