DuPont opens offices in Serbia, Bulgaria

 

 

DuPont opened its first office in Belgrade, Serbia and another in Sofia Bulgaria as part of the company's growth strategy for emerging markets.

 

In a statement, the company said the openings represent DuPont's growing market reach in Central Europe following facility openings in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Baltic countries. More than 500 DuPont employees are based in the region.

 

According to Ian Hudson, president of DuPont Europe, Middle East and Africa, eastern and central Europe is a critical growth area for the company to expand its market reach.

 

The openings represent the first offices in Serbia and Bulgaria, although DuPont has had a sales and marketing presences in Serbia since 1987 and Bulgaria since 1991.

 

Key DuPont markets for the Serbia and Bulgaria region include agriculture, food processing, construction, automotive and refining and petrochemicals.

 

DuPont's business in Serbia and Bulgaria is led by its strong agriculture presence in crop protection products, soy products and seeds.

 

The Belgrade site will create a base for newly developed distribution channels and offer accessibility to customers in the rapidly growing markets of Serbia and Montenegro. The Sofia site will provide access to customers in the rapidly growing markets of Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania.
