Further slide in China lysine prices while exports plunge

Lysine prices continued to fall during the week ending December 2.

Demand for lysine remained sluggish as soymeal prices stayed weak. Additionally, feed millers were not eager to stockpile inventories as the hog and poultry markets showed little signs of improving.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were lower in the range of RMB9-9.30/kg.

Overall lysine export for October totalled 19,420 tonnes, contracting a prominent 8%.
