China to get more than half of world's soy exports
China will receive more than half of the world's soy exports in 2012.
According to Chen Xiwen, director of the Office of the Central Leading Group on Rural Work, China imported more than 60 million tonnes of grain in the first 10 months of this year, and the amount of soy reached 48.55 million tonnes.
The year's soy total is expected to hit 55 million tonnes, which means half of the world's total soy exports will go to China, Chen said.
