Dwindling choline chloride demand in China softens prices

Prices moved lower during the period in review.

Producers of choline chloride were willing to lower prices as the demand for the products weakened with diminishing aquaculture production. However, they did so cautiously while prices of raw ingredients did not reduce by a lot during the period in review.

Ex-factory prices of 50-percent content choline chloride by major producers in Shandong dipped RMB50/tonne to RMB5,650-5,700/tonne

Soft prices of trimethylamine and ethylene oxide will allow choline chloride producers to keep prices low while supplies are expected to increase amid waning demand.
