Beef, egg and dairy output drops in Georgia

Georgia's beef, egg and dairy product manufacturing slumped in January-September 2010 compared with the same period of 2009.

GeoStat, the National Statistics Office of Georgia, says the beef production shrank 22% on-year and made up 20,500 tonnes.

Egg production dropped 14% to 20.3 million units, whereas the figure made up 234.7 million eggs in January-September 2009.

Georgia's dairy product manufacturing also fell 2% to 277,600 tonnes, whereas the figure made up 282,700 tonnes in the same period of 2009.
