Danish Crown lends processing capacity to Jutland Meat
Danish Crown, Europe's largest pork processing company, contracted out part of its pig slaughtering capacity to Jutland Meat.
Jutland, owned by the Dutch entrepreneur Frans Stortelder, has been battling with a shortage in slaughter capacity due to recent fires at its facilities.
Keeping within cartel rules, Danish Crown will deliver thousands of pigs to Jutland Meat, provided that the company does not slaughter more than 10,000 animals per week.
Danish Crown would be entitled to compensation if Jutland exceeds the amount.
