Taiwan Great Wall Buys 60,000 MT Corn From Cargill
Taiwan's Great Wall Enterprise Co. bought 60,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Thursday, a Taipei-based trader said.
Great Wall bought one cargo of corn, of which 17,405 tons was purchased at $152.31 a ton and 42,595 tons at 184.89 U.S. cents per bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade March contract, the trader said.
Both prices are after cost and freight.
The cargo is scheduled to be shipped either between Jan. 16-30 from the U.S. Gulf, or between Jan. 31-Feb. 14 from the Pacific Northwest.
