AB Vista to showcase phytase product at IPPE

AB Vista will showcase the benefits and future potential of superdosing with its latest phytase product Quantum Blue at the Internation Feed Expo (IPPE 2015) in Atalanta, Georgia in the United States on January 27 to 29, 2015.
A recent market analysis showed that almost all of the monogastric feed sector is using a phytase, and emphasised how the consumption of phytase has grown dramatically since the concept of superdosing was introduced a few years ago by AB Vista.
Superdosing takes phytase use beyond simple nutrient release, via application of an optimised phytase, such as Quantum Blue, at three to four times the standard dose to destroy the majority of the phytate anti-nutrient found in feed.
Superdosing already accounts for an estimated 7% of the phytase market by value after just two years.
Dieter Suida, director of the Americas for AB Vista, said superdosing is becoming standard practice across many countries, particularly in North and Latin America where it is estimated about 18 million tonnes are being superdosed for optimal bird performance.
"One of our primary aims is to work collaboratively with our customers to identify ways to improve performance and fuel growth," Suida added. "AB Vista has been dedicated to researching the science behind the benefits of superdosing, and estimates that by 2019 superdosing could account for more than 30% of all tonnes of feed treated with phytase, saving the industry billions through improved performance."
Previously at the EuroTier 2014 exhibition, the company had also showcased its phytase product and conducted a phytase survey. The report can be read here.
