China methionine prices rise 6% in November; market going strong
Prices of methionine were significantly higher during the week ending December 1.
Methionine market strengthened further over the week as producers lifted prices amid tightening availability while traders withheld releases in anticipation of stronger prices. In the month of November, China's methionine prices have increased by over 6%.
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market rose to RMB20.50-20.80/kg.
With supplies limited while the local producers halt operation, methionine prices are poised to strengthen further.
