An eFeedLink Exclusive

Price summary

Broiler prices were significantly lower in most regions.

Market analysis

AA broiler

Prices of AA broilers plunged to new low levels as release volumes of contract broilers rose amid feeble demand. Buying interest of day-old-chicks was weak as farmers have not started their replenishments for the Spring Festival.

Inevitably, prices of AA broiler day-old-chicks fell to near breakeven point.

China breed broiler

Prices of China breed broilers was dragged down by falling prices of AA broilers. Demand was fundamentally weak.

Market forecast

In the near term, prices of both AA broilers and China breed broiler are seen to remain weak.

RMB1= US$0.1452 (Dec 2)
