Brazil's soybean exports hit 1.35 million tonnes in November

 

 

Brazilian soybean exports totalled 1.35 million tonnes in November, 180 percent more than the 485,000 tonnes exported a year earlier, according to preliminary figures issued by the Foreign Trade Ministry on Thursday.

 

Brazil's daily soybean export average was 68,000 tonnes for the month, compared to 24,300 last year, but down from the daily average of 89,600 tonnes registered in October.

 

November soybean export revenues increased to US$340.7 million compared with US$115.6 million the year before, but down from October's value of US$441.2 million.

 

Soymeal exports also hit 1.35 million tonnes in November, up from the 1.03 million tonnes exported the year before. In October, soymeal exports totalled 1.09 million tonnes.

 

November soyoil exports totalled 200,800 tonnes, up from the 123,900 tonnes exported in November last year and were higher than the 199,400 tonnes shipped in October.

 

Brazil is the world's no. 2 soybean producer after the US.
