Milk Prices Fall in Canadian Province
The Manitoba Milk Prices Review Commission in Canada announced that the maximum price a litre of milk will drop two cents.
That means the top price for a litre of milk in Winnipeg and Brandon is now $1.45 for homogenized, $1.38 for two per cent, $1.32 for one per cent and $1.28 for skim.
Maximum prices for other communities will be higher because of transportation costs.
According to Agriculture Minister Rosann Wowchuk, the decrease is the result of lower hay and barley prices.
She says the rates are reviewed at least once a year.
