Taiwan BSPA Declines Offers In Wed US Soybean Tender

Taiwan's Breakfast Soybean Procurement Association decided not to buy soybeans in a tender concluded Wednesday due to high offers, a company official said.

BSPA sought to buy one 40,000-60,000-ton cargo of U.S. No. 2 soybeans to be shipped either Dec. 17-31 from the U.S. Gulf, or between Jan. 1-15 from the Pacific Northwest, the official said.

The lowest offer was 246 U.S. cents per bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade March contract, the official said.

BSPA will convene Thursday to decide on a retender date.
