Ukraine October grain exports up by 5.7 percent to 2.4 million tonnes

 
 

Ukraine's grain exports in October 2009 rose by 5.7 percent or 128,910 tonnes compared to October 2008, to 2,409,790 tonnes for US$ 327.19 million, according to a source from the Cabinet of Ministers.

 

Grain exports in October went down by 6.9 percent or 177,490 tonnes, compared to September.

 

In January-October 2009, grain exports rose by 72.5 percent or by 8,791,530 tonnes to 20,909,720 tonnes for US$2,850.82 million year-on-year.

 

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in September 2009, grain exports increased by 0.4 percent or 10,350 tonnes compared to September 2008, to 2,587,280 tonnes for US$347.78 million.

 

In 2008, grain exports increased by a factor of 3.8 or by 11,929,490 tonnes, compared to 2007, to 16,136,370 tonnes for US$ 3,704.01 million.
