De Heus International and Wellhope Group confirm joint venture

Wellhope and De Heus International signed an official joint venture agreement in Shenyang, China, on Oct 20, 2006.

Wellhope, a fast-growing company, was founded in 1995 and is today among the top 10 feed, concentrate and premix producers in China. De Heus Internationals has a history of over a hundred years in operation, and is the biggest feed producer in the Netherlands.

A six-person delegation from De Heus International attended the ceremony in which the joint venture was sealed between both parties with a contract signing by  Wellhope's chairman, Jin Weidong, and Co De Heus, president of De Heus International. In witness of this significant moment, both leaders also made a plaster hand impression together.
 

In the presence of some 1,000 conference guests, including government leaders, business partners, customers, suppliers and friends, Wellhope announced that it had been given the China Famous Brand recognition award.

Wellhope and De Heus believe that cooperation will bring success to both parties. With De Heus's technical and financial support behind it, Wellhope stands to improve its competitiveness, and attain its goal of becoming one of the world's top feed suppliers, the company said.

With extensive feed industry experience in Asia behind him, Jan Cortenbach of De Heus will be the joint venture's chief technology officer in China. Cortenbach will mainly oversee the transferring of know-how between De Heus and Wellhope.
