Taiwan's BSPA buys 60,000 tonnes soybeans from Agrex

The Kaohsiung branch of Taiwan's Breakfast Soybean Procurement Association, or BSPA, concluded a tender late Wednesday to buy 60,000 tonnes of US-origin soybeans from trading house Agrex, a Taipei trader said Thursday.

While 20,000 tonnes would be purchased at US$259.50/tonne, including cost and freight, the remainder would be bought at a premium of 157.25 US cents a bushel above CBOT's March contract.

The cargo would be shipped from the Pacific North-west and the expected date of arrival at Kaohsiung is Dec 29-Jan 12.
